Birthdays at the Zoo!

Jordan had at a ProSport conference in Vegas on his birthday
and so I made a cake the day before he left.
We celebrated simply by singing him Happy Birthday and blowing out the candles.

One week later I had my birthday and luckily for me it was on a Saturday
and we were able to spend the whole day together as a family.

Our first stop that day was breakfast with Santa at Jordan's school
I thought for sure Kambri was going to be 'good' and sit on Santa's lap.
...we had talked about it and she was so excited...
...the whole time we were standing in line she was excited...
...then the second it was our turn...the tears started flowing...
There was no way she was going to sit on the crazy guy, with a red suit,
and a long white beard's lap!
So we got a family portrait instead!
After breakfast we went to the mall and attempted to buy me some clothes
but I just wasn't in the buying me clothes mood!
So we headed home and made some sugar cookies.
Another 'party'...Kambri was thrilled.
She loves birthdays!
Here she is blowing out my birthday candle!
Later that night we decided to go see the Zoo Lights.
It was fun to get out and do something festive for the holidays.
Jordan is either at school, or working, or studying pretty much everyday,
and so it was nice to be able to spend some time together!

Our attempt to get a family picture!
We waited in line for a long time thinking we were going to see something cool in the penguin house.
It wasn't anything special, just the same penguins we've seen a million times.

Waiting
Waiting

So my point is, we waited,  and waited, and waited, to see the penguins.
Which is cool.
But we've seen them a lot.
Jordan doesn't look to thrilled to see the penguins after that long wait! :)

This was the highlight of the night for Kambri.
She loves carousels!

She also loved running through this 'tunnel!'
SANTA!

We tried to get a decent picture of us,
but Kambri has a mind of her own!

Merry Christmas and Happy Birthday to us!
